Drag-induced dynamical formation of dark solitons in Bose mixture on a ring

چکیده

A study investigating the interplay of dissipationless drag and solitons shows that effect can lead to rich system dynamics like drag-induced dark soliton formation. The proposal could open avenues toward direct experimental studies phenomenon.

Ring dark solitons and vortex necklaces in Bose-Einstein condensates.

We introduce the concept of ring dark solitons in Bose-Einstein condensates. We show that relatively shallow rings are not subject to the snake instability, but a deeper ring splits into a robust ringlike cluster of vortex pairs, which performs oscillations in the radial and azimuthal directions, following the dynamics of the original ring soliton.

Starting from a Lagrangian density of a superfluid Bose-Fermi mixture we derive a coupled set of nonlinear Schrödinger equations for the system.
